Explorers Club Texas Chapter

About the Texas Chapter

The Texas Chapter of The Explorers Club is comprised of explorer members from the Texas region. The Chapter meets quarterly, often in Austin, Dallas and Houston and where the new discoveries take us. Typically, hands-on field trips are followed by even dinner meetings with the experts.

Leadership is provided by a board of officers chaired by world hall of fame diver Nancy McGee. Other officers include Vice Chair Program Director Joseph Watson, Treasurer West Hansen, Secretary Pat Madden with Branndon Bargo serving as Director of Expeditions.

Make your mark by joining and participating in the Club’s goals in research, education, and public service include the orientation of young people toward careers in field science and engineering, and the encouragement of scientific exploration of land, sea, the air and space, with emphasis on the physical and natural sciences. We serve as a common bond and meeting point for explorers and field scientists worldwide, thus continuing the early goals laid down by our founders in 1904.
